Unmasking the new you

Our goal is to create an environment of hope, strength, and resilience. We offer a safe & supportive space for cancer warriors to share their stories, learn from one another, and connect with a community of care. Our passionate volunteers are here to ensure that your experience is nothing short of amazing.

A Night of Inspiration

The highlight of the weekend is the Runway Of Hope Dinner & Show – an inspiring evening filled with fashion & music that celebrates the strength & courage of cancer warriors in our community. Through this event, we aim to create awareness about the fight against cancer while providing a platform for those affected to come together and find hope & strength in each other’s stories.

Past Runway of Hope honorees

We are grateful for the beautiful legacy of love and kindness that Marily Considine has left for all cancer warriors.  She was dedicated to helping others feel loved, heard, and comforted.  We honor Marily as an inspiration founder for Pink Warrior Angels of Texas.

Lizzy Tennyson was a Runway of Hope model in 2019.  She dedicated herself to spreading the word about the needs of  bone marrow matches – especially for bi-racial cancer warriors.  We honor Lizzy, her beauty, her spunk, her tenacity, and her life.

Aviana (Avi) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on September 14, 2019, at 22 months old. This diagnosis completely blindsided us and brought on added stress, anxiety, and fear—we had no idea how our little girl would handle the chemotherapy drugs or being cooped up in a hospital room for weeks at a time.

Avi went through 5 total rounds of chemotherapy and we were told that the treatment protocol was working and Avi was in remission! She finished treatment on April 9, 2019, and we were FINALLY able to spend more than a week or two at home.

Shortly after her 6 months off treatment, we learned that she relapsed due to her counts and her oncology team at McLane’s decided to transfer us to TCH. On October 20, 2020, Avi started chemo again in hopes to get her back in remission. Avi spent two birthdays and two Christmas in the hospital. This girl is beyond resilient and taught us so much. Never stop smiling, Never stop being sassy, and never stop loving.

Aviana Marisol Rodriguez gained her angel wings the morning, July 21, 2021. We are incredibly proud of her and her fight against childhood cancer, but she will be terribly missed.

Tyra Charmant
Honoring Tyra Charmant

Our forever Angel wanted to surprise us all by coming out the Runway of Hope 2023.  Tyra was on hospice then and wore the most beautiful sunshine yellow to match her glowing message for each of us.  She reminded us to make as many memories as possible with our families as we are not promised tomorrow.  She shared inspiring messages of hope and resilience.  What her speech on our Youtube

Tyra passed shortly after this show with military honors and love from all those who loved her.
